印メディア『Times of India』によると、このやり取りがあったのはナショナル・リーグ地区シリーズ第3戦だ。舞台は米アトランタのトゥルイスト・パークだった。男性はドジャースの山本由伸のユニフォームを着用し、周囲から「子どもにあげて」と声をかけられた。これに対し男性は「悪いけど無理だ」と返答し、「申し訳ないとは思うが、子どもにはあげない」と重ねて断っている。『ABC7 News』は公式Facebookでこの場面の映像を紹介し、「彼は子どもにボールを渡すべきだったのか」と問いかけた。

The moment was caught on camera as the Dodgers took on the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, in a home game for the Braves.
In a video on TikTok, the fan, wearing a Yoshinobu Yamamoto jersey, says on camera: “I’m sorry I can’t. I’m not giving it to the kid. I feel bad but I’m not giving it” in response to a spectator yelling: “Give it to the kid!”
The camera then pans to a young boy wearing an Atlanta Braves jersey.
The footage was filmed by Hamilton Culpepper, who goes by the_hammyshow online. “What a classless Dodger moment,” he wrote.
Other commentators came to the fan’s defense, with one person writing in Instagram comments under the video: “I wouldn’t give an October baseball to a toddler either.”
“Braves fan here, no need to give it to the kid bro. Nice catch,” another person said.
